The National Network of Adoption Advocacy Programs (NNAAP) is committed to advancing a multi-faceted program of services and technical assistance to equip, empower, and enhance faith-based adoption advocacy programs that utilize the One Church One Child (OCOC) model. Our programs and services are specifically designed to assist faith-based organizations, as well as, private and public agencies to enhance their capacity to recruit and serve families in the adoption of children by employing the OCOC concept.
OCOC programs, child-placing agencies, parent support groups and other child welfare organizations are invited to join NNAAP in pursuit of the following goals:
- Operating a national network of adoption advocacy programs.
- Identifying diverse communities across the country in need of adoption advocacy programs.
- Creating and supporting programs in culturally diverse locations to recruit and serve adoptive families.
Our unique features include:
- Technical Assistance & Support – Consultation services are offered to enhance the expertise of faith-based adoption advocates.
- Peer-to-Peer Program – Training or coaching by a peer professional to gain strength in performing the tasks or functions of their specific roles.
- Mini-Grant Program - Grants to support capacity building to better serve adoptive families.
- Training – Training specifically designed to offer current best practice to strengthen recruitment strategy and program operation.
- On-Line Forum - The online forum offers members of NNAAP opportunities for online collaboration and information sharing.
